It's been raining for 3 days straight.  That's rare for southern California, and it's supposed to keep going all week.. it sucks.  I wonder if the sound of the rain helps Queso sleep?  Who am I trying to kid?  He's a cat, he can sleep through anything!

Ok.. this technically isn't from today, it's from a few weeks ago.  I shot it on my Leica, but accidentally opened the bottom cover and some of the film got exposed, which is why it's got that streak across it.

I don't know why he was hunched over looking scared.. weirdo..

Day 85

This is from last night, I just got distracted with something and forgot to upload it.  Queso was just sitting in my tub after my shower... for a while.  I had enough time to get my camera and he was still in the same spot.  Odd..  And just so you know, my tub isn't dirty, those are stains that won't come off.. damn you old building!

I woke Queso up with my photography.  Screw him, he wakes me up all the time with his tongue on my nose..

It was a nice day out.  Temp was in the 80's and nice and sunny.  I opened the window and Queso had to go for a look.

Wow!  80 days of Queso.  Amazing..

Today's pic is mostly my busted knee, but Queso's in it.  I crashed riding my bike home from work today.. well, not really a crash so much as just fell over.  I was stopping at a red light and my shoe got stuck in my toe straps and wouldn't come out, and since I wasn't moving, I fell right over.  It sucks... but no major damage to me or my bike.  Queso sniffed my wound a little, but then got more concerned with food..

Day 79

Since i've been slacking on the pics, here's a video.  You can hear him purring because he thinks we're walking into the kitchen for some canned food.. sucker..   See how he walks directly under my feet?  He's almost tripped me quite a few times.

I guess i've been slacking on the pics.. but hey, Thursday I was unpacking and tired from my trip.  Friday was our company holiday party, so I got home late and was a little drunk.  Yesterday.. well, no excuse.. but today I had plenty of time to get a Queso action shot!

Hey.. look who's back!  Not only Queso, but i'm back from my vacation.  Apparently Questo got into a bag of catnip while I was gone.. what a punk.

Well, this'll probably be the last Queso pic for a week or so since i'll be visiting the family on the East coast.. but not to worry, as I mentioned in the previous post, he'll get daily visits so he won't be lonely.

My friend Julie is going to be stopping by my place to feed and entertain Queso for a few days while I enjoy some Thanksgiving feasts with my family back in N.C., so today she came by to meet him for the first time.  They got along nicely.  I think Queso might like her better than me!  She's going to spoil him with all the extra attention, i just know it! :D

Queso's getting better at running out the door when I get home from work, but he doesn't know I have years of practice from Blink trying to do it.   Sucker!

Queso was running around today, chasing his feather toy.  He's done little short sprints a couple times, but today he was actually really running, having fun.  What a guy..

Not much to report.. Queso finished all his food today.  He tried to run out the front door when I came home with a little extra excitement.  Once Blink made it out, but she got scared and ran back in after only a couple feet.  I don't think Queso will do the same thing.. i'm sure i'll find out some day.

I took a shower and Queso decided he was thirsty when I was done..  black and white today..

I took a pic yesterday, but didn't have time to upload it.. here it is.  Queso sleeps damn near all the time, except of course, when i'm trying to, then he's rubbing his paws all over my face trying to wake me up.. what a punk..

Just after this pic, Queso rubbed his nose on mine.. since I was lying on the floor.. I happened to get a pic of it, but it makes me look too much like an old cat lady...uhh.. man.. or something.. whatever..

This is pretty much what I see every time I come home from work.  I usually just use my bike wheel to push Queso back into the apartment.  Sometimes it takes a little effort, he just doesn't want to move.. other times he just runs in to the kitchen.  Today he actually made it out because I was busy taking a pic.. I managed to snag him before he ran into the hallway though.

Well, I skipped two days, and got yelled at by a coworker.  I thought Queso's fans had abandoned him, but I guess they were just on a break!

Today was pretty damn windy.  Because I commute by bicycle, it sucked!  It was pretty painful on the legs, and it blew me around some, but I made it ok..  All the while, Queso was just hangin' out at home, being the chill cat that he is.  Ah, who are we kidding, he was probably meowing at the door all day because he most likely cleaned out his food bowl early in the morning.  He likes to eat..

Queso moves around a lot.  He's constantly moving his eyes and head to see what's going on.  When I focused this shot, he was sitting still, then he decides to move just as I push down the shutter.  I still like the shot.  The sense of movement is ok with me, and I like all the angles of the doorways.  Plus film has a nice look to it that I just like..

I gave Queso some new food today.  It's just some cheap stuff from Ralph's (grocery store) until I can get myself to the pet store, but he seems to really like it.  He finished the whole bowl when I poured some in.  He hasn't been much of a dry food eater until now.  Maybe I should just stick to this stuff..

Day 30

Wow!  30 days, that's practically a month that Queso's lived with me.  He's made himself at home, stealing my seats when i'm not looking, waking me up in the mornings before my clock, walking under my feet trying to trip me.. yep, he's being a normal cat.

Today I forgot to get Queso some dry food, so he's making do with just the canned stuff.  He doesn't seem to mind, although, I felt a little bad for him and gave him some treats too.  He went nuts as usual.

He also seems to like it when you rub his head with your toes..

I guess lounging around with nothing to do while i'm at work makes Queso tired...

Day 28

I went to the gym again today.  Which means I got home late, so I figured Queso would be hungry and trying to run out the door like he usually does, but no, he tried to be sneaky and hide behind it, probably hoping to sneak out behind my back, but I caught him!  Lil' punk! 

He was going nuts when I opened a new can of food for him.  He was taking one paw and swiping it at me, so I got my camera and before I could put his bowl on the floor he started standing on his hind legs.. like so..

Day 27

Man, Queso has a lot of fur.  He sheds way more than Blink used to.. she was a long hair cat too, but he seems to leave a trail everywhere.  I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner, my old one can't hang.

For me, it was a long day.  Lots to do at work.  Bike ride to the bike shop to get some stuff.. stayed a little late finishing up a few things.  Riding home wasn't so bad.  Traffic sucked, but I like it that way when I'm on my bike because I can cruise through it.  I hit the gym on the way home, then the rest of the ride tried to take it kinda mellow, but like always, I push my legs too hard.. they're feeling pretty rough right now..

Queso's lucky, he just has to hang out at home all day and sleep, or eat, or play with his mouse like he's doing here.

This pic is from last weekend.  It's film and I develop and scan my film myself, so that's why it's an older pic, but it's the same as this past weekend.  Cats love to take afternoon naps and Queso's no exception.

Today was a relaxing Sunday.  Queso and I both slept in, then I made breakfast for myself, and gave him a nice pile of food.  Then it was a nice long bike ride for me, followed by a Flintstones dvd marathon.

I'm sure you don't want to see my hairy legs in my bike shorts after a nice ride, but hey, Queso doesn't seem to mind.

Today I saw Arcade Fire live.. it was the best live band show of my life.  I'll never forget it..

.. while I was rocking and having beers, Queso was at home, waiting for his second dinner.  Too bad sucka, you had dinner already!

Day 17 - 10.07.10

Today Queso was running around in a catnip induced madness.  It reminded me of the way Blink used to run from one room to the next, back and forth, over and over..

..then he sat in my chair, that I was using, when my back was turned!  Is there a pattern forming here?!  That's cat fur all over my chair btw, he sheds a lot!
