Tired.. not much to say.. been getting my Halloween costume ready, while Queso sleeps under my coffee table.

Today was pretty damn windy.  Because I commute by bicycle, it sucked!  It was pretty painful on the legs, and it blew me around some, but I made it ok..  All the while, Queso was just hangin' out at home, being the chill cat that he is.  Ah, who are we kidding, he was probably meowing at the door all day because he most likely cleaned out his food bowl early in the morning.  He likes to eat..

Day 32

Queso moves around a lot.  He's constantly moving his eyes and head to see what's going on.  When I focused this shot, he was sitting still, then he decides to move just as I push down the shutter.  I still like the shot.  The sense of movement is ok with me, and I like all the angles of the doorways.  Plus film has a nice look to it that I just like..

Day 31

I gave Queso some new food today.  It's just some cheap stuff from Ralph's (grocery store) until I can get myself to the pet store, but he seems to really like it.  He finished the whole bowl when I poured some in.  He hasn't been much of a dry food eater until now.  Maybe I should just stick to this stuff..

Day 30

Wow!  30 days, that's practically a month that Queso's lived with me.  He's made himself at home, stealing my seats when i'm not looking, waking me up in the mornings before my clock, walking under my feet trying to trip me.. yep, he's being a normal cat.

Today I forgot to get Queso some dry food, so he's making do with just the canned stuff.  He doesn't seem to mind, although, I felt a little bad for him and gave him some treats too.  He went nuts as usual.

He also seems to like it when you rub his head with your toes..

Day 29

I guess lounging around with nothing to do while i'm at work makes Queso tired...

Day 28

I went to the gym again today.  Which means I got home late, so I figured Queso would be hungry and trying to run out the door like he usually does, but no, he tried to be sneaky and hide behind it, probably hoping to sneak out behind my back, but I caught him!  Lil' punk! 

He was going nuts when I opened a new can of food for him.  He was taking one paw and swiping it at me, so I got my camera and before I could put his bowl on the floor he started standing on his hind legs.. like so..

Day 27

Man, Queso has a lot of fur.  He sheds way more than Blink used to.. she was a long hair cat too, but he seems to leave a trail everywhere.  I need to buy a new vacuum cleaner, my old one can't hang.

For me, it was a long day.  Lots to do at work.  Bike ride to the bike shop to get some stuff.. stayed a little late finishing up a few things.  Riding home wasn't so bad.  Traffic sucked, but I like it that way when I'm on my bike because I can cruise through it.  I hit the gym on the way home, then the rest of the ride tried to take it kinda mellow, but like always, I push my legs too hard.. they're feeling pretty rough right now..

Queso's lucky, he just has to hang out at home all day and sleep, or eat, or play with his mouse like he's doing here.

This pic is from last weekend.  It's film and I develop and scan my film myself, so that's why it's an older pic, but it's the same as this past weekend.  Cats love to take afternoon naps and Queso's no exception.

Today was a relaxing Sunday.  Queso and I both slept in, then I made breakfast for myself, and gave him a nice pile of food.  Then it was a nice long bike ride for me, followed by a Flintstones dvd marathon.

I'm sure you don't want to see my hairy legs in my bike shorts after a nice ride, but hey, Queso doesn't seem to mind.

Today I saw Arcade Fire live.. it was the best live band show of my life.  I'll never forget it..

.. while I was rocking and having beers, Queso was at home, waiting for his second dinner.  Too bad sucka, you had dinner already!

Day 17 - 10.07.10

Today Queso was running around in a catnip induced madness.  It reminded me of the way Blink used to run from one room to the next, back and forth, over and over..

..then he sat in my chair, that I was using, when my back was turned!  Is there a pattern forming here?!  That's cat fur all over my chair btw, he sheds a lot!

So today I learned a couple things about Queso.  He hates the vacuum cleaner, and he chews plastic bags..

Day 15 - 10.05.10

Another rainy day in L.A.  At least the last half of it.  Queso seems to be happier with the cooler weather.  I got home a little later than usual because I went to the gym after work, so when I fed him, he was grubbin' like mad.  He seemed pretty satisfied.. even went to lie down for a while.

A couple hours later, he got some snacks from Microman.

Day 14 - 10.4.10

It rained today.  Rare for southern California.  I probably wouldn't mind the rain so much, maybe actually even 'like' it, but when it rains it means I don't get to ride my bike, not because i'm afraid of getting wet, but because i'm scared of L.A. drivers when it's raining.  So that means I had to drive to work and when it rains in L.A. people drive like they're idiots, I mean worse than usual.. what can ya do.. *shrug..  unfortunately, it's supposed to be raining tomorrow and the next day too :(  I guess my car could use some love.  It's always so neglected.

One fortunate side effect is the weather isn't hot as hell anymore.  I actually have my windows closed, and i'm sure the temperature is something that Queso is happy about, being covered in a lot of fur and all..

Day 14 - 10.03.10

Lazy Sunday.  Queso was lounging on my bed most of the day.  He didn't wake me up early either.. what a punk.  It's like he's playing a game.  Work days, wake up before the alarm, days off.. let's sleep in shall we?

I was going to vacuum today but didn't get around to it.  I want to see his reaction.  Blink used to hate the vacuum.  She would go hide if she even saw me touch it.

This afternoon my friend Adam came over for a bike ride.  I live near Griffith Park, so there's some good riding to be done up in the hills.  Hard pushing up those hills, but fun coming back down.  Anyways, he's the second to meet Queso in person, but the first to get a pic..  They seemed to get along pretty well.

I went to an engagement party today so naturally I got home really late..not much to say ..

Octoberfest season!  I'm sure Queso has no idea that he's missing out on beer, bratwurst, and saurkraut.. good stuff.  He does like his tuna though.. a true cat.
