I came home from work to find a bag of crackers i'd left on my coffee table all over the floor.  How can I be mad with his little bloody nose.. of course, that was before walking to the kitchen and seeing the torn up bag of Cheetos on the floor..

Cancer

Well today, the biopsy results came back, and as you can tell by the title of this post, Queso has cancer... I have to find out more about it, but the vet said he's got less than a year untreated, and if there is treatment, there's not 100% chance it'd work.. i'm going to talk to the vet again to see what else I can find out.. This is really hard for me because my cat Blink died in 2009 from diabetes.  I tried everything to save her, but in the end, there was nothing the vet could do..

I've been purposely avoiding uploading pics of Queso's bloody nose (the reason I took him to the vet a couple days ago).  This is what he looks like when I come home from work, and usually when I wake up in the morning.   I wipe the bloody snot off and it seems fine until he sleeps again, then it drips out while he's sleeping..

Queso Visits the Vet

So, I took Queso to the vet today.  He's had this nasal issue for a while, runny nose, sneezing, blood in his snot.. but only from one nostril.  It seemed to come and go and only a little at first, and his demeanor and eating habits haven't changed any, so it wasn't worrying, so I was hoping it would just go away permanently, but it's not going away, so I took him in this morning.

The vet took a look and suggested some x-rays and stuff because of the blood and it being only on one side.  While he's there, he's getting some dental cleaning done too.  It was supposed to be done today, but the vet called and they had an emergency pet come in so they had to push everything else back. Long story short, Queso gets a free room for the night and gets looked after tomorrow.

I asked how he was doing, if he still seemed scared. The lady on the phone said he’s super friendly and ‘sooo cute’ and is happy chillin’ there and just likes to be loved. She may have mentioned he's hanging with some other cats.. I don't remember.. I hope he doesn’t forget me!

I got this cardboard play tank for Queso, but turns out (just as I figured) he's too much of a wuss to like it.. he crawls his way out instantly every time I put him in.. I guess these pics are what I have to show for the price of it.  Oh well.. they're cool pics.. heh.. I can always trick him into getting in there for more pics when he least expects it!

Waiting For A Full Belly

When I come home from work, the first thing Queso does is try to run out the door.. the second thing he does is try to trip me by walking under my feet as i'm trying to walk.  After that he follows me to the kitchen and waits for me to give him his canned food.  When he realizes that's not going to happen, he goes to his semi-full bowl of dry food and starts eating, looking over his shoulder a couple times to see if i'm still there.  He's a needy cat..

Back In Time

It was a very cheezy movie, but it had some good parts.  I think Queso enjoyed it.. or maybe he didn't care (most likely).

Basket Case

I did some laundry today..  Queso decided to get inside my laundry basket again.  He pulled a Popeye when my flash popped.. funny stuff.

Hungry?

Every time I go into the kitchen, Queso thinks he's getting food.  I have to wait till bed time to feed him or else he'll wake me up in the middle of the night.  Sometimes I feel a little mean about it, but I gotta get sleep..

Day ???

I dunno how many days it's been anymore.  I suppose I could sit and figure it out, but I don't want to... 

I went on a little vacation last month and while I was gone, Queso was being taken care of by Julie again.  This time instead of just coming over to feed him, she took him to her place.  She has two cats of her own so I guess it was an experiment.  It turned out fine apparently, only a little hissing, no fights.  "Skinny" didn't seem to like him very much, but "Haywire" seemed to tolerate him.  You can see him below in the pic with Queso.

Day 126

I know i've been slacking on the Queso pics.. i'll try to keep up.

This is Queso from last night.  I'm selling a camera lens and did a little sample shot for the ad.  He likes to stare into space.  I wonder what he thinks when he's doing this sorta thing.  I have a couple ideas..  maybe something like {"food?... wish someone would pet me.. or feed me.. is that a bug?.. food?")

Day 106

Today I noticed Queso taking interest in my Betta fish, "Crom".  I've never seen him even glance at him.  Funny.. hopefully he doesn't try to snatch him.  I don't think he's smart enough really.. just sayin..
